Welcome to the digital home of The Green Frog! If you have visited us before, either on the web or in person, you may know that some things have changed recently.
For nearly six years the Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern was a small bar located at the far end of Bellingham, WA’s State Street. The 960 square foot room was the springboard for a community of folks who shared a common love of live music and beer. It was a fantastic experience to start in that space and witness the growth of a wonderful scene. But, the Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern outgrew its space… and its name.
On June 30, 2011, the Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern closed it’s doors and began the move to a new location just two blocks away at 1015 North State Street. There were many trials and tribulations in the move, many unexpected and costly, but we have finally opened our doors once again. The beer is flowing and the music will again be satisfying our ears. But this time, it’ll happen at THE GREEN FROG!
That’s right, we dropped the confusion from our name. No longer should there be any doubt of what our name is! And if I hear people a year from now referring to The Acoustic, I’ll know they were in the old room, which is a badge of honor in my book!
