Welcome to the digital representation of The Green Frog! If you have visited us before, either on the web or in person, you may know that some things have changed recently. I’d love to take this chance to fill you in on what is going on...and how you can help!

For nearly six years the Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern was a small room located at the far end of Bellingham, WA’s State Street. The 960 square foot room was the springboard for a community of folks who shared a common love of live music and beer. It was a fantastic experience to start in that space and witness the growth of a wonderful scene. But, the Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern outgrew its space... and its name.

On June 30, 2011, the Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern closed it’s doors and began the move to a new location just two blocks up State Street. There have been many trials and tribulations in the move, many unexpected and costly, but the construction is nearing completion. In the weeks to come the beer will once again begin to flow and the music will again be satisfying our ears. But this time, it will happen at THE GREEN FROG!

That’s right, we dropped the confusion from our name. No longer should there be any doubt of what our name is! And if I hear people a year from now referring to The Acoustic, I’ll know they were in the old room, which is a badge of honor in my book!

So that is what’s happening right now. We’re really close to getting this thing rolling in a positive direction again. But we could use some help. This project has taken much longer than anticipated, and has had some costs that were completely out of left field. What we had to make it work we have used. What we had after that is nearly gone. We are about 8,000 dollars short of where we need to be, and we could use a hand from those of you who love this place. It’s pretty easy, really. If you’re into helping, there is a donation button that goes through PayPal. If not, then just come down and drink beer when we get the doors open. But we hope you are willing to lend a hand.
